Which ring and pinion gear set and lockers should I buy?

As mentioned before, Revolution gear is a great brand. Sorry to hear you're having trouble with them. You might try going thru a distributor? Contact Allen at Allen's Offroad. If you end up deciding to invest in selectable lockers, I'd recommend Eaton E-lockers. Good luck and enjoy Colorado.

I was more disturbed by the guys attitude when i questioned where my order was, he seemed like the guy that would spit on your cheeseburger if you sent it back because it didnt have cheese on it
Update: still havent received any parts from Revolution
ive called several times over the last few months to no avail, get the same song and dance of everything being on back order. Its been 3 months now. I let them give me excuses up til now because i was busy with moving out West. Was going to have my mechanic bud install everything. Now its time to take the TJ out West to its new home. Going to find a shop out there to perform this task. Not sure i should wait on Revolution any longer

Revolution was initially cheaper than the set on Amazon by $200, and was told they were the better choice. Now im contemplating. Jeep goes West next week

Looks like its time for me to cut bait and fish in a different pond. I thought going direct thru Revolution would be my best bet, apparently not.
Seeing as i have to rely on a shop doing the work for me now, i will let them choose what brand they want to utilize.
Any recommendations of a shop in the Western Slope area of CO would be appreciated. Only one i know of is Rockworx 4x4 in Montrose

What gear ratio are you looking for? What axles? Too bad your going to western slope instead of eastern otherwise I could do it for you.
4.56 in my stock Dana30/35 for now. Just getting my feet wet with this rig
Good decision, that will minimize the potential for any warranty issues.
What size tires and engine?
You could always try calling Allen's OffRoad. Allen's a good guy. He sold me my Revolution gears. But if you have a shop do it, you might want to know what they require or use, that way they'll fall under warranty. Where I had mine re-geared, they gave me a warranty on the gears I brought in.
Ok, 4.56 is not a good choice for 33's for either of the two different automatic transmission the TJ came with.
If you have a 97-02 TJ, that automatic is a 3-speed without an overdrive. For that you want a 4.10 ratio.
If you have a 2003 or newer TJ, that automatic is the 4-speed with an overdrive that drops the rpms by 31% at cruising speed. For that transmission you absolutely need nothing less than 4.88 but 5.13 would be ideal. Seriously.
Those recommendations are well founded, don't let some clueless 4x4 shop talk you into anything like 4.56. 4.56 would cause excessively high cruising rpms on the highway for the 3-speed automatic. 4.56 would cause the engine to lug badly at too low of an rpm with the 4-speed automatic.

I just revisited the first page of this thread, someone had provided a link that Chris posted about what gears to buy. I see where i made my mistake and looked at the wrong trans. Thats where i got the 4.56 number in my head. Looked over to the first column and spied the 4.10 for my trans.
good catch Jerry !! Im sure a decent Jeep shop would have steered me straight, but thank you for your guidance. FWIW i did post that i was buying 4.56s on the first page and no one corrected me, so thats what i ordered. Guess it was meant to be that they never showed up.
You're lucky, not many shops understand how to properly select gear ratios when TJ automatic transmissions are involved.
I would have bet $1000 against your assumption. Shops don't give a shit... You tell them 4:56, 4:56 is what you'll get.
