Looking for Unlimited rocker panel or rock sliders pictures

Thanks for the info. JMT. I have been looking at the JCR sliders for a while now. I was concerned about the small metal clips that mate the two pieces together. Are you happy with yours?

Yes, I’m happy with mine. I had the same concerns, but the clips have given me no problems. They have been in the rocks and I’ve had to touch up, but not a lot, no more than 10-15 times have I hit them.

Do you have any protection between the slider and the tub? I think Warn has a rubber gasket.
I do, but it’s not necessary, you want the slider and the tub directly against each other so the two don’t shift relative to one another. The gasket is a minor separation and probably fine.

Yea, I bought my 2000 sport new and kinda nervous about slapping metal up against the rockers. Your information is helpful and and comforting. There is no rust at all and I don`t want to get any started.

A lot of the detailed info about sliders I learned from @mrblaine, so I’m just passing along his nuggets. on the gasket question, I also discussed it with a classic cars resto guy I know. He really wanted to put the gasket in there, but he wasn’t thinking from a off-road situation w the weight of the Jeep on the slider.

Yea kind of a catch 22. Grit is gonna get in between no matter what i would imagine. One good thing about being in Ca. is no salt on the roads to help cancer the rig.

I’ll likely be pulling mine in the next month. It will be interesting to see behind.

Can the savvy sliders be used without the step? I’m liking these but was hoping to buy the base use them for a while then later on buy the step

The aluminum backer is not intended to be used as the slider, if that is what you are asking.
