One thing I noticed since installing the new sliders - we pulled back some damaged tub.
Negative, I just never noticed it before today. It’s not a common spot I get in other pictures!
I only saw the exterior dent and didn’t know how much further past the front fender it went. It wasn’t until we were lining up the slider to notice how far the tub was in and then pulled back out. I should have thought more about before and after then.
I finally got a dead pedal in, which I think will be nice on longer drives.
Since I didn’t want to cut up my all weather floor mats I customized the dead pedal instead. It seems strong enough without the floor support.

Rotabroach killed it again, this time I listened to people more experienced than me on how to drill these and they were perfect.
I drilled them all while on this time without the arbor, and then expanded the couple nutsert locations.
I’ll get to the other side tomorrow morning.

I’ve been having an issue where my nutserts collapse unevenly resulting in them moving over a little. Fortunately they were mostly recoverable, though less than ideal. Only one shows it with being slightly less than flush. I’ll likely fix it someday.
I’m pretty sure a spare delete is in short order and since I don’t ever intend to run a hard top I’ll delete the vent too, but I’ll drill out and chamfer the spare carrier holes for the few times I need it out back. I’d sell the exogate but I’ll keep the hinges for this need.

I have used both a tool from Amazon and the standard nut tightening with a sleeve/bearing. the nut way seemed to be a bit more reliable.
My Mustang dead pedal only uses two big sheet metal screws. Yours should work just as well.
Ugh, I forgot to cut out the bestop UPC so I can’t get the rebate. I literally bought it from them, but that’s not enough.
Delete. Tail lights next and deciding where to put the plate, thinking below the tailgate in the middle.
Is the tailgate plate different than the corner armor?

I went with Genright like the corners hoping it would match - I need to check it in different light but that picture definitely doesn't look to match (which would be very irritating, but so far I am not loving GR stuff). Annoyingly their valence piece has a GR logo in it, so I won't use that one if I do that piece too...
I have another brand with effectively the same setup for the plate - I just need to decide where it goes (either on the corner under the light, on the tailgate, or somewhere else).
