I'm considering the Rancho RS55241. Does anyone know if these can be run can up? I realize the bushings and bar pins would need to be swapped, but I don't know if that's possible with this shock.
Axle is rotated for the Savvy tummy tuck, which puts the can very close to the coil bucket. I can trim that if necessary, but would like to just run the can up, if possible. I can do this with a Bilstein shock, if I went down that path.I don't know, but I'm interested in learning why you'd want to do that? (p.s. I'm a noob, so it's not that I think it's a bad idea ... just something I never would have considered myself.)

You do play a little rough with your toys...just saying!I reversed them and blew them out almost immediately. I wouldn't recommend it.
I looked, but couldn't find any lengths on these? You can mount the Blackmax 180 degrees
Your not wrong, but I don't even think I wheeled it. Maybe I wheeled it once, but no more than thatYou do play a little rough with your toys...just saying!

Very helpful! Any idea about the quality of these shocks? My experience with them (Rancho) in the past wasn't good.https://skyjacker.com/shop/category/shocks/black-max-shocks/
Two tabs of extended and collapsed lengths
The old models are just like the old Rancho 5000's...Very helpful! Any idea about the quality of these shocks? My experience with them in the past wasn't good.
I was able to get both the B8518 and B8525 for $45.44 each, so a set has been ordered. The shock lengths are perfect for my needs and it looks like I'll be a Guinea Pig here. Thanks for the information! The old models are just like the old Rancho 5000's...
Old tech stuff...add a bright paint job, shock boot, call it off road and that's that.
The blackmax is much improved over their old tech stuff.
I think...you can read between the lines...(they won't say this on record)
But I truly believe they wanted a shock solely targeted to the Jeep weight there of.
Perhaps the foresight of just how popular the JK took things?
I haven't had one defect of any we've installed.
