Love our inreach. I put it on the passenger side low on the console. I figure the safest place.
I highly suggest if you are not comfortable going alone, don’t do it. Skill, mechanical aptitude and experience should dictate if your capable.

Would I have gotten out if the 4Runner didn’t come along? Yeah, and I think the story points to that. It just would’ve taken longer. But because of this incident I choose not to go alone anymore. My choice, others choose differently.
How does any of that prevent a mechanical problem that strands you in an area without cell or repeater service? Or a physical injury or event (heart attack etc.) that makes it impossible to keep going or call out for help in the remote areas we wheel in?
Wheeling alone is asking for serious trouble. Families don't deserve the uncertainty of if their loved one will make it home.
Wheeling with a buddy or two is more fun too.

If WSS wants to keep the load out he wants, is there anything he can do to improve his capability?
He was thinking mid-arm but it sounds like that’s not necessarily a solution so would changing shocks in the rear reduce the affect of his weight transfer?
