What did you do to your TJ today?

Went for an evening cruise to clear my head. Father had emergency heart surgery on Monday...still recovering.

Also had to break in the new 5.38s I had installed. 250km to go before I can beat on it !

I’ve driven a lot of miles to clear my head, which is amazing since it is a fairly empty head. Nothing works better for that than a Jeep.

Looking good.

Nothing but I bit the bullet on a USA made Surco TJ hard top roof rack brackets! I have some roof bars hanging around but just cant bring myself to drill holes in the top!
Expensive for just the brackets without bars! at least twice or even more than you guys have to pay :(

Encountered this on a trip to New England

It the cheaper Rugged Ridge. It's supposed to be good for showers like we just had but not for extended rains. I still had the Safari part of the Trektop on so that should help also!! I will update in the AM.
I also have the cheaper Rugged Ridge cover, use it every night. Had a quick pop up thunderstorm couple weeks ago and thought I was good until I peeked inside and saw water dripping onto the passenger seat. LOL so now when it is going to rain I throw a 10x12 tarp over her and secure with a few bungee cords.

I replaced the upstream O2 sensor on the little 4.0L. It’s have a couple error codes over the last couple months. With the rear window open I noticed it was running rich. When starting it would have to turn over a few times before starting; I thought maybe a battery problem was causing that. After reading that one of the side effects of a bad upstream sensor was it ran rich I decided to replace the sensor. Now it starts up quicker. I want to now go down and top off the tank to see if I get a little better mpg’s from it too.

Remember @John Cooper is the one who put the dog poop in the guys JK and said, “Look what you nearly stepped in.”

How's the quality been on those tinted uppers? Do you know if they are the Black Diamond material? I don't recall seeing it listed in the Ebay ad.

I wish I had known that tinted ones were available before I bought the untinted Bestops.
I’d like to know about the quality as well. For $100 I may take a chance…

Product description leads me to believe Black Diamond…

Had a few spare minutes today to remove the OE bumper end-bubbles with short endcaps.

My son now want to do the same on our TJ.

Yesterday we replaced the OE headlights with Hella H4 lenses ... only to find they sent us lenses for left-hand driving. So they came back out and we're awaiting the replacements.

As KiwiTJ mentioned we are in a strict covid lockdown here in NZ. Couriers are still coming though haha

Installed new spark plugs today. How old you reckon the old ones are? I’ve had this TJ about 9 months now. Had no service history either.
the gap on the old ones were around 0.60 haha
