This article has been in my head for a while, most likely the way I’ll go as well… someday
I’m thinking I might as well do it now and reap the benefits this winter! I should count my money first.

The only thing holding me up is I just don’t know what wheels I want to run. I like the moabs but they’re not really practical. If one gets fucked they’re not the easiest to find, and I’m going to build a trailer within the year so I want to match those wheels as well. Once I nail down a choice, coyotes are the route I’ll go. I talked about them with Blaine when we were discussing my initial build and he had only good things to say.
Before you get your pocketbook out, Jeremy, watch the install video. I don't think its something you're gonna haul down to your local discount (or america's) tire and have installed. It looks firmly in the category of something you'd end up doing yourself or paying through the nose for a shop to do...
Tires look good though. I found a deal on some Grabber X3's at my local shop...waiting to hear the price but I expect it to be pretty good. 3 barely used tires paired with two new ones...I'm expecting about 800 bucks installed. Then I'll have my cake and eat it too...Favorite all time wheels (pintlers) with reasonably priced 35 x 12.5 -17's Only negative is they are the e range variety...

Well bummer but @JMT & Mrs JMT aren't going to be able to stop by today. He's getting the whole experience of western WA traffic.

Well things worked out and JMT & Mrs JMT did stop by for about 10 minutes. So now he has some more shocks to PLAY with and these are tuneable.
Great. Now he can go home, get those 35s installed, and give me some closure on his long journey to bigger rubber.
He's toying with the idea of getting the Coyote inner beadlocks so it might be a day or two. And now he has more shocks to play with too.
He's got to get these for the rear shocks first.

Long day driving from Long Beach, WA back to Spokane. That was our first time to see the Pacific Ocean. On the way back we did meet Tacoma traffic, which was a bear. We decided to break up the day a bit by stopping by @Wildman’s. I got to see his daughter Carly too. She probably didn’t remember me from last time. Rick was great as usual and he showed me the hubs he was working on today to much avail. He passed on 8 Walker Evans shocks that are tunable. Really cool! Also passed on a MotoBilt 10” light bar bracket that attaches to the Fairlead mounts, and a very tough Dana 44 cover that has a dipstick to easily check the level. I’ll get some pics up tomorrow. 35’s sitting in the garage, of course. I’m shot today guys! Good to be back. Time to get to work on my pinion leak.
This video of Coyote Beadlocks install is interesting. It would be less daunting if I was a tire guy.
It is pretty nice how comprehensive the video is. But it really is an involved process. Fortunately that’s just the first time, if you like your wheel then you’re good to go, other than all the times the tire shop messes up.
I thought I read somewhere that the system overall is a wear item, but I didn’t see that quickly looking again.
That makes my 1 hr of torquing my beadlock nuts, each tire, look like a walk in the park.
Maybe. I think about that process too. I think once you've done one Coyote setup, you've got it. However, if you get a new set of tires, here we go again.
The video is very well done. The system has a 5-year limited warranty. Setup is everything. I don't remember them describing it as a wear item.
I've mounted lawn tractor tires, bicycle tires, motorcycle tires, etc. Those coyotes are nice... But dang... Lots of work. I see hours of sweaty labor in the barn.
