Nice work!

Have you considered maybe extend the braces a little further to the left with a second set of vertical holes to allow for the option to center the spare on the tailgate?

Yes, kinda

I considered making a second set of holes in the carrier I have designed (Not pictured) but not in the aluminum tailgate hinge to center the factory carrier when stacked on top on the tailgate.

Depending on tire size and backspacing you may run into issues with handle access. The distance the hinges will move the tire out may help that.

Thanks, those are the questions and feedback I’m looking for.

I had few requests to build a DIY welder kit rear bumper.

Going to weld it and test fit it tomorrow evening.

I know I’m bouncing around here but that why Flux is a appropriate name lol.

I cut some test bend coupons for a my corner guard press. And weighed the steel vs aluminum. Both coupons are the same dimension.
Steel weight.

Welded and blended.

What fasteners would you suggest. I thought about cutting them for carriage bolts? Not sure how that would look on a black bumper.

This is how they will look on a stock-ish LJ. 4" lift and metric 33 or 4's, they are not 35"s. Wheel well to wheel well. By judging his fender paint line the after market flares land real close to the O.E. flares. I like the blue.

Without Flares.

I like them with flares more then I though I would. Next step is to make a template for trimming to the Gen Right front fenders and counter sink the rash guard. Measure twice cut once lol.

Hopefully I get my corners soon, they should be test fit with the rockers. I can always adjust the corner files but it would be nice to test both together. As my dad would say "Patience Grasshopper".....

Very nice work, Flux. Not many members that have the skills/means to do what you’ve done.

You might’ve mentioned this, but any plans for production?

Thanks. Yes sir, plans are for production. I already do small production runs of the bumpers. The rockers will be released with the corner guards. Seems like they go together or at least need to be available. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

That would be great! Especially since Savvy rockers may never become available again.🙄

Started trimming for genright front fenders. Working on a template to make it straight forward and simple.
I stared at them for 10min and started cutting into them.

2” hole saw and straight cuts. Could be better. Enlarged .25” and changed template to use 2.5” hole saw. Will test new template on other side.
