What did you do to your TJ today?

On our 99 TJ our Grandaughter had used the line and when she used it again it slipped against itself breaking individual lines in the steel rope. What a mess. So we routinely re wrap with tension.

Took a little trek down by a creek bed with the lady. Played on some limestone. Her first time to get a little adrenaline dump at 1mph!

Happened to me earlier this year. My cable is now kinked/tangled to where I let the line out, its starting to get sucked back in instead. I need to address it soon.

Brown Santa (UPS) delivered my Tom Wood’s rear drive shaft today! Tomorrow’s project will be bolting it up.

Rear bolts at the transfer case had locktite on them when I took them out. Guessing that is the right thing to do when installing the new one?

Do you guys have a recommendation for a decent priced battery? I had the doors open while working on my roll bar and having the lights on for 20 minutes was evidently enough to kill the battery. I better replace it before it gets really cold out.

Did both u joints in my driveline ,( that ujoint closest to the tranny was a bear to get out) rear yoke and pinion seal. Went for a drive and now brake fluid is leaking out of my passenger side rear wheel.. another thing to fix now, also just got an ignition actuator I need to install, anyone know if they’re supposed to have metal pieces running down both sides of the plastic rod? Mine doesn’t

Just bought an Interstate Brand battery from Costco for my son’s Ford Edge. Don’t remember the AH but 650 CCA. 3 year free replacement, out the door, just under $105. It’s as large a battery as anything that would fit in my LJ.

That's a great idea, I always forget to check Costco! I'll definitely be swinging in there this week to get some prices.

replaced the transmission pan gasket and filter (#4 on the list). Not hard but sure was messy. I was surprised at how many holes were threaded to accept the filter torx screws. it took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out which were the correct ones. I was glad to be able to do it without having to remove the skid plate.

1. replace a/c compressor, dryer and a/c liquid line. evacuate and recharge system.
2. replace radiator and thermostat (flush cooling system)
3. replace drive belt, tensioner & idler pulley
4. replace transmission pan gasket & filter
5. replace valve cover gasket
6. replace tie rod ends, drag links, and sway bar links (requires sub alignment)
7. replace rear shocks
8. replace two downstream oxygen sensors
