What did you do to your TJ today?

Against my better judgment, Iā€™m cleaning up this Warn bumper/carrier that I got for $100 last year so I can mount it on my TJ. It was pretty crusty from the PO leaving it outside for over a year, but it should turn out nice. With the carrier on it weighs right at 80lbs. Not bad, but it leaves me wondering what a MORryde and a decent hitch bumper weighs combined. Am I really adding THAT much extra weight with this setup? šŸ¤”

I just pulled off my body armor bumper and it weighed 108lbs.

Do you ever just get so pissed off that frustration takes over and you just start ripping s*** out? Happened to me today. I do have to say though it's not the first time lol.

I got the roll bar painted just fine inside the Jeep when I went to put on clear coat it wrinkled up like tissue paper. The base coat had already been drying for 48 hours.

What fender flares are those?

Yes, yes I have! No damned fun!
I have actually run into the same issue with about the same time frame and have learned to just go ahead and apply the clear coat the same day, just like another coat of the base.
I tend to put paint on a bit thick so I know it's going to take weeks to fully dry anyway. ;)

Bought six ton jack stands and started contemplating my Currie spring and Core 4x4 track bar swap. Probably wont get it done until next week at the soonest. Sons turning 21 this week, I'm turning 40 next week. Busy around here with planning parties and stuff.

I did install some cheap Amazon Sunpie headlights to replace the garbage sealed beam OE units. Night and day difference, no pun intended. OE headlights are like candles compared to the cheap LEDs. I'll be roasting retinas now! I did adjust them down a little, but damn are they brighter.

Good to know. Sunpie makes decent solar panels as well.

Be aware while they are plug and play for the Jeep (no adapter or can-bus needed) I did need to remove some material in the headlight bucket with a dremel to get them to seat all the way. Just some plastic trimming, nothing major if you have the tools.
