These InstaTrunks are pretty cool. I can see why they have the sprung latches and lid on a hinge now. It is a helpful feature for loading and unloading stuff. It’s also got a lockout on the hinge. Here are a few pics for anyone interested in getting one. I think I’ll add some kind of removable rubber mat on top to protect it.

Got something in the works that I've been wanting to do for awhile. I'm hoping it works out. The purchase is stated as secured. It should be sealed on Thursday. I'm excited for this one. It will give me a good project this Summer.

On April 1 I made the cryptic announcement that I was hoping a purchase would work out by Thursday. It was questioned, reasonably, whether to believe anything on that day or whether it might be a mail order bride (
). Most of the deal worked out and I'm excited to say that @Alex01 picked me up some GR front aluminum 4" fenders and the GR aluminum corner armor. We'll be meeting up at Moab in less than a month and we'll either install them there (he loves a good project and PBR), or I'll bring them home and get started. I still need to find a set of rear fenders, or just buy them from GR, but they are spendy now. I'll post some pics later when he sends me some or posts them himself. Thanks Alex! This pretty much made my year. I have been looking for an opportunity to ditch the MCE's, which were always a temporary solution.

My rear passenger corner is already slightly damaged. It's hardly noticeable, but armor will fix it and keep me from causing worse.
