aren’t you using your sssye and your longer drive shaft? Is this the output seal I'll need to replace the current one on the JB SYE housing?

Yeah, but I'm probably going to damage the seal in the JB outer housing when I remove the housing and break into the case. If I don't, well, then I have another seal. I just don't want the Jeep to be down for a couple weeks waiting on a seal. I already called O'Reilly's and they were like, call Tom Wood.aren’t you using your sssye and your longer drive shaft?
I’d be mostly guessing but yes that should be it.Yeah, but I'm probably going to damage the seal in the JB outer housing when I remove the housing and break into the case. Front halfWasn't the terra low kit just a new back half? The front should be oem.
I was thinking that was misleading after I posted it. The half towards the engine is the new one correct?Front half
Front, as in toward the front of the Jeep. But the Back half of the case and driveshaft @DrDmoney sent is not the right length for my setup. So, I’m moving my SS SYE and back TCase over to his front TCase, which has the goods. So, I’ll likely destroy the oil seal on the SYE housing in the process of moving things over.Wasn't the terra low kit just a new back half? The front should be oem.
Thats makes more sense. Good luck.Front, as in toward the front of the Jeep. But the Back half of the case and driveshaft @DrDmoney sent is not the right length for my setup. Yeah, I pulled his apart with a regular SYE without damaging anything, but the SS has a seal where the shat enters the housing. I’ll try to carefully remove the RTV there and get it out, but I may damage it.I've never dealt with the SS SYE so I don't know. I know on a regular SYE I could pull the back apart without damaging anything.
Yep, that's my jeep's twin. Notice we are only 3 builds apart.Yeah, I pulled his apart with a regular SYE without damaging anything, but the SS has a seal where the shat enters the housing. I’ll try to carefully remove the RTV there and get it out, but I may damage it.
It wasn’t a cheap mod back then, they were just popular because it was the only option plus you still had to factor in the cv drive shaft and SYE if you were lifting it 4.5”Man I wish they were still making the 4:1 kit, an atlas is just too expensive for the time being![]()
Oh i didnt know that, do you happen to know how much they go for/went for?It wasn’t a cheap mod back then, they were just popular because it was the only option plus you still had to factor in the cv drive shaft and SYE if you were lifting it 4.5”
