05 Flame Red TJ Build

TY for this. i just caught it yest. and i left the 6 in the toolbox and picked up a cheap single at Ace and it worked out much better in a hand drill. the mutli flute does get jumpy sometimes.

I do work with wood, but I did this with a zero flute no problem. I let my twin boys make a couple of them and they’ve never countersunk anything.

Same rig w/4" springs, 1" BL & ACOS spacers in the front. On 35" tires.

Extended YJ brake lines are also on order. Somewhere I recall reading about some copper washers I need. What's that all about?

I'm kinda sore at myself for buying the 33's in January, but I'm really not ready for chromoly's in the Dana 44, so I guess I'm where I need to be. It will take me a long time to run through these Razr's though. Maybe I'll sell them and step up later this year. I think I'll just wheel these for awhile and see how it goes. I like to go one step at a time.

It's a single use copper crush washer for the brake's banjo bolts. I think the one you want is 1/16" but don't remember 100%. You can get a pack from the local autoparts store that has a bunch of different sizes in it.

Yes you need new washers for the brake lines where they bolt to the caliper with the banjo bolt.

I hope I'm not too light in the rear for the Currie 4". The thing I'm missing is a 80lb spare. Hardtop and rear seat are usually installed. Hardtop comes off in summer.

You know me too well. I can't stay out of the garage! I can't keep my hands off my Jeep. It's kinda like my wife. Poor things, constantly being fiddled with.

I do have the Savvy GTS and the Teraflex Hand Throttle to install, oh, and the Savvy Tailgate Armor, which has been painted Flame Red and is just waiting to cure.

My fear for sure. Maybe put the Spare back on. I really deleted it for performance issues. It's nice being a little light in the rear. Spare is only 80lbs, but I don't know the spring rate on the Currie 4", so I don't know exactly the effect, but 1/2" if they are 160in/lb's, but being that they are progressive springs and I don't know how to calculate that, who knows.

I'll try and remember to measure the lift on the rear when I'm working on the jeep tonight and get you the measurements. I don't have the spare on currently.
