No, never popped a bead. I purposefully drive so I don't have the wheels turned hard over when the front tires are smashed on a rock or tree.

I'm on board with the Dana 44 shafts.

PSC, haha, how could I forget.
I wonder if the pump would he enough. I never ran it without the hydro assist.

I think I'd go:
shafts
PSC - assuming it's an issue
Wheels

Ahh yes, the price of admission to run 35's. I see you and Mike reaching "Full Retard" status soon, lol!

Don't worry Jeremy, you'll surely rise up thru the ranks and reach "Officer" status along side @Alex01 and @Wildman.
Haha, I doubt it (famous last words).

I was lying in bed last night thinking how smart @Alex01's moves were. He just went straight for the gold. Trailer, Mid-Arm, Beadlocks, Armor, Outboard, Frame Tuck. I thought, "Dang, how much money was that?" I didn't even do the math.

Don't do the math. It'll scare the living shit out of you!

Precisely. I think I'm done soon.

Want to spice up the garage next year.

P. s. I don't even think I need these 35's. It will just be nice if I can get some time to use them.

Don't forget about the brakes 😉

It would have been cheaper if I didn't do so many items multiple times or started with a rubicon.

@toximus did it the right way. A solid plan to start and no compromise. If budget would have allowed a stretch and 60s would have been nice. If I was to do that now it'd likely be easier to start with a new jeep. Perhaps a sport LJ 🤔. The kids need more money in the 529s before that can happen though.

Cash app me 🤣

It's not a BBK, but I have Centric Rotors and BMB Pads, a good start.

I can only say the same about the 529's.

Long day driving from Long Beach, WA back to Spokane. That was our first time to see the Pacific Ocean. On the way back we did meet Tacoma traffic, which was a bear. We decided to break up the day a bit by stopping by @Wildman’s. I got to see his daughter Carly too. She probably didn’t remember me from last time. Rick was great as usual and he showed me the hubs he was working on today to much avail. He passed on 8 Walker Evans shocks that are tunable. Really cool! Also passed on a MotoBilt 10” light bar bracket that attaches to the Fairlead mounts, and a very tough Dana 44 cover that has a dipstick to easily check the level. I’ll get some pics up tomorrow. 35’s sitting in the garage, of course. I’m shot today guys! Good to be back. Time to get to work on my pinion leak.

Just one correction....... My daughter's name is spelled Karrlie... Her mom had a thing for all 3 girls names starting with a K & had to have double letters in it. And of course iCarly wasn't a show when she was born.

Good seeing you again and it was nice meeting your better half.

🤣 Yep, Jeep savings.

When I saw they were Hutchinson, I had a flashback to several years ago when I first saw them and the price tag of entry.

For me, if it doesn’t give me any more function, I’m not usually very interested. These would do that for sure, but that’s a steep price tag. I can afford them, but not sure I want to spend that on wheels.

Just remember when comparing a Hutchinson to a Trail Ready/Raceline/Spyder Lock/KMT or any of the other standard beadlocks on the market is that the Hutchinson is a DUAL beadlock similar to a Hummv military beadlock & what the Coyote inner beadlock does. Yes 9/10 of the time you won't burp an inner bead but some tires or wheel construction seems to do this more than othes. Just having the outer beadlock most times is all that is needed.

Hutchinson & StazWorks are the two companies that I know of that offer a dual beadlock wheel. One is aluminum and the other is steel.

Not that my vote matters but I think Coyote inners are your best bang for the buck since you already have rims you like. Get a set of tire pliers so you can break down the tires on your own. Then you don't have to pay a shop to do it for you.

OK you've done it NOW..... You never ever not anytime say you're done... This is just asking for things to happen.
I keep saying I'm gunna work on my garage too but Jeep parts or truck parts or Harley parts or firearms all seem to get in the way.

Go first @Mike_H and tell me what it's like.
With the Coyotes or full retard? I'm just building a nice, solid short arm TJ on 35's. I don't think its going to be anything special, just going to pay attention to details.

I can tell you installing the coyotes are going to be a wrestling match. If I need beadlocks, they'd get my money, cuz pintlers (yeah, I know they make a BL version), but I don't see it happening for a while. I got other things to buy.

ive changed my motorcylce tires (supermoto and dirtbike which require tubes) Its alot of work and the tire is atleast 10x lighter. Your gonna have to set aside multiple days to get those mounted up with lots of frustration and no shop is gonna touch them. Beadlocks are a breeze in comparison.

Finished up the pinion seal install. When I removed the pinion nut I discovered that the seal did not have a flange. This meant I needed a puller of some sort. My small one I used for the pinion bearing was too small. I was going to go rent some tool, but all closed due to Labor Day. My neighbor (an XJ guy) said I could drill some sheet rock screws into the tin portion and work it out. It worked. When I started torquing down the pinion nut I started at 140ft/lb and worked in 5ft/lb increments to get the pre-load 5in/lb more than prior. There was no play in the pinion shaft and when I got to 205ft/lb on the pinion nut I called it good. No leaks or issues after a 20 minute drive and the in/lb are the same as they were before.

Took me awhile to digest that post. Thanks for all the details. Sorry about misspelling Karrlie. My phone will hardly let me spell it that way!

I agree about the Coyotes, and good to know about double beadlocks. Very cool, but Coyotes are my best bet.

Yeah, I know it’s never finished. Just wish it was! 😩

BTW, I’m really interested in the WE shocks. I looked them over today and cleaned all the over-spray off. They are starting to look good. Now I’m wondering how the valve stems work for the tuning. I’m assuming Nitrogen filled. I want to research them more.

I don't know if I wrote it in a way that was understandable or not. But I'm glad you got it figured out.

Yes the spelling of her name screws with spell check all the time.

Yes the valve stem is for charging them with Nitrogen and if I remember correctly they should be set at 200 PSI. But you need special tool to measure that plus to fill them.

EDIT: BTW the over-spray wasn't me..... Those were the shocks that I got with the spare AiRock kit I bought.
