FWIW, the 33’s were 31 1/2” top to bottom before I took them offJust the overall diameter (top to bottom) as they sit, now that they're mounted. I'm suddenly thinking I should've gotten mud terrains

Are you planning to stick with 4.56 or bump up in gearing, or is it too early to tell?I keep drinking. I think I’m subconsciously elated to be on 35’s. It’s been a long road.
Oh my gosh, within a week! That’s insane.I can't wait until next week when I get my own rig up on 35s again. Looks sick, brah
Too early to tell. I’ve ripped through the first four gears on flat ground. I’ve stomped on the brakes. It feels very close to the 33’s. The math says gears should be 4.34 for 33’s and 4.71 for 35’s, so at 4.56 I’m slightly under geared. I’m sure I wouldn’t mind more, but right now I’m running a lighter (64lb) and smaller (advertised 34.6” but I’d say 34.3”) 35” tire. KM3’s are very good for my situation, including being above average on snow and ice for an MT.Are you planning to stick with 4.56 or bump up in gearing, or is it too early to tell?

I'm following and that's a great idea! It gets even better if you find a Dana 44 at 4.88. then you only have to regear the Dana 30 for him, lolWhat would be REALLY cool is if you could find another Dana 44 rear axle. Then swap your axles into the twins TJ and use their Dana 30 and the other Dana 44 to regear to 4.88 or 5.13. That way you're only paying to regear one set of axles instead of two. Just a thought. Keep your eyes open for a Dana 44 that maybe has bad gears or the brackets are broken? If you compared cost of regearing two sets of axles to only one would that cover the cost of the other Dana 44 and make you a little money?
Are you following what I'm trying to say? I hope I explained it correctly.
Onward to fodeesI keep drinking. I think I’m subconsciously elated to be on 35’s. It’s been a long road.
That is a plan in the back of my mind. Two weeks ago I almost bought another TJ. I was second in line. It had a Dana 44. It was a 98 Sahara with CC. I was showing it to @Alex01 to get his .02c and he picked up on how loaded that rig was. Too bad I missed it. If a Dana 44 doesn’t work out, then an s35 and regear will be in the works. I do have one I’m interested that has 488’s and ARB lockers up here for $11,500What would be REALLY cool is if you could find another Dana 44 rear axle. Mike, Mike, you enabler you! Can’t wait to see your final 35 setup. You’ve been teasing with the wheel sets.Drinking is the path to buying the good stuff! Keep drinking, lower those inhibitions, and get the credit card out!
Consider yourself shot! An 8.8? That’s heresy!OK now don't anyone SHOOT me....
I know where a 8.8 is at and a Branes 4WD truss kit too... Just saying.
I thought I might have to get the rest of the armor to make it work, or make a spacer, but it worked fine just installing. Bolts all threaded normally. Tailgate swings shut with just a flick of the wristNice looking Jeep! Had a question about your tailgate skin/tailgate hinge combo. Did you have to put a spacer behind the tub side hinge mount to even out the height difference of not having armor on your corners?

Our plan so far has been to move my Dana 30 to there rig. That way we only had 3 axles to re-gear. Your way is better. I will definitely be on the lookout for a Dana 44 with 488’s or 513’s or even a Dana 30. Either would be fine. What would be REALLY cool is if you could find another Dana 44 rear axle. Good to know! I have a similar setup to install so I'll give it a shot! Thanks for the reply!I thought I might have to get the rest of the armor to make it work, or make a spacer, but it worked fine just installing. Bolts all threaded normally. Tailgate swings shut with just a flick of the wrist
