'05 Rubicon suspension on '99 SE?

I have a stock '99 SE that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Recently I came across a stock suspension from a '05 TJ Rubicon. Factory height springs, control arms and tie rods, Rancho 5000 shocks. $100 obo.

I'm wondering if this would be an upgrade for the '99, or maybe not worth the effort. I'm also not sure if the Rubicon stock height is any different than the '99 SE. Would this increase ride height at all?

Same suspension. I would only purchase if the TREs were new, and control arms had new bushings.

I do not believe the rubicon model had any more lift then your SE from the factory. I think the only difference in size was due to larger tires from the factory. On a side not a set of rancho RS5000x for $100 is a good deal.

I installed a set of Rubi springs (take offs) on my 99 SE and I had enough sense to measure the before and after and they gave me an average 1" of additional lift.

A stock TJ Rubicon's suspension is no different than a regular TJ. Any difference in ride heights are the result of newer coils and if the replacement factory coils were selected for a heavier factory set of options than your TJ was spec'd for.

On the 2.5 it's the weight difference that provides the lift.
