So, finally I found a good mechanic. There was a bad switch turning off and on the compressor, and the coolant was low. He replaced the switch. The temporary solution for the low coolant was solved by taking all coolant out, putting coolant in, adding some oil, and injecting die to find the leak the next time it gets low ( :
The air condition works better than it ever has since I have had it ( : It does not matter how hot it is outside ( :

The temperature on the rear view mirror has been the tell tail sign of a/c failure in my vehicle.
I get nervous when the mirror reaches about 95 or 96 degrees because I know it just climbs as soon as I stop at a red light;

The mirror will read higher than ambient when you slow down (stop or crawl).
It's picking up the heat from the radiator.
It doesn't affect any other operations.
