32RH Automatic Transmission Slipping: Rebuild or Replace?

2000 4.0 Auto. Slipping when cold in 1st.
Is this the 32RH Trans?
Is it time to rebuild?
How much does a rebuild cost typically?

That's the 32RH automatic transmission you have.

How many miles are on it? Generally speaking, when an automatic transmission is slipping, it's time for it to be rebuilt.

I can't tell you what it will cost, but I would guess it's going to be around $2000 or so including the labor.

Your best bet is to call local transmission shops that have lots of good Google reviews.

Sometimes a simple band adjustment can fix the problem, sometimes its a throttle lever adjustment can fix some symptoms.

My last rebuild cost me $450 and I too it to the shop and picked it up, I did the removal and re-installation.

My 32rh rebuild cost was $1650. That included removal, replacement, relocating the vent, an auxiliary cooler, and installation of the auxiliary cooler.

Mine too. Once she warms up, shes good to go. Yours? Is this what slipping means?
