8.8 Sport trac rear axle with disks

I have a friend with an 8.8 he says came off a sport trac, it has rear disks and I’m wondering if it is the same as the explorer 8.8? He does not know what year the sport trac is but I would imagine some it has disks it’s the same axle. Am I correct or is there a way to be sure before I buy it?

I had a sport trac 8.8 in my old tj. It is basically the same. The only issue I ever had was replacement brake rotors. I thought that the exploder and sport trac shared the same rotors, but apparently, they do not.
