As you noted he wasn't allowed to play varsity as a freshman so none of the points from his Freshman season count toward his college career numbers.

He averaged mid 40 ppg all four years of college but since his freshman year isn't counted his record has been beaten by a girl who averages upper 20's for 3 years and has just cracked into the 30's for her final year.

Plus, no shot clock and no 3 pointers for Pete.

And the movie about him is worth the watch.

The movie is great. I actually had a chance to meet him back in the day before he passed away. He visited the university where I was playing football (BSU) for a motivational speech. Had dinner with him (and many others) and got a chance to get a couple autographs.
