Had a coworker ask if my and my friends are worried about getting picked up by ICE because of my skin color (which is impressively toasty due to a recent vacation)… moron.
He had to remind me that I was brown and might fit the profile…
Then retracted to say that he’s sure my behavior has change as to not get detected …
WTF are they feeding these people…
I’m a citizen, if I get picked up, I’ll quickly prove my legality and move on … whoops, no big deal. Beats being stuck at work,
My daughter's fiancee is of mixed heritage. Iranian (Syriac Catholic)... 3rd generation and Guatemalan (2nd generation) and the family is... well... let's say independently wealthy (real estate and business owners). Needless to say that the kids are "brown". My daughter is very blond and very white. While at dinner with them at their home on the side of Camelback I found out that they are HUGE Trump supporters and primarily because of illegal immigration. The father's family was exiled during the early 70's when Iran was purging Christians and the mother's family was displaced by the wars over communism in Central America. They are further to the core "Right" than just about anyone I know.
So... they have a nice place and they have guards and housekeepers/groundskeepers etc. All are US citizens and they provide them healthcare through their businesses.
The are massive supporters of "round them all up and get them out of here"...
yea, some of my family is very vocal about those who break the law coming into our country, abusing our American citizen benefits … the irony here is, according to my co-worker, they would be picked up by ICE on the spot.
.I was raised and very aware the difference between immigrants and illegal immigrants …
