The option to edit isn't available, so instead of being able to correct my initial post with a cooler head; the best I can do is leave this update in the hopes of being able to later modify the previous post with a more fair narrative (or just delete the original one out right if the mods would be so kind).
"Did you try contacting the company?" Yes, I emailed them the same concerns and awaiting a response. Even if they replaced the cargo area floor pan (which really is the only piece I had a real problem with), I'm not sure that would really be helpful. I apologize about the inflammatory remark about putting the whole thing in the trash, it's really this one piece that is amiss. The rest is pretty impressive.
Update: (which should be more like an edit to the original post).
The instructions say "in order to reduce the amount of cussing", and they were absolutely foreshadowing what was to come, because there was a LOT of it. The product itself seems pretty awesome, the main drawback I experienced was it appears they took a rather generic design for the TJ family and mode modifications for try and accommodate the LJ. Practically every panel required some degree of cutting or other modification and they sit in the vehicle "Good 'Nuff". The instructions aren't terrible, but again, they're rather generic, intending to cover a wide range of TJs, so be prepared to wing it at some point based on your scenario. For example, those with extra options, like hardtops & rear wipers, be prepare to make your own holes & relief cuts for things like wiring harnesses.
Once I finished the entire installation, my issues/frustrations really just boil down to the cargo floor area. That's where I started with installation, hence my extreme initial aggravation, but the rest was pretty much "as advertised". Over all, the general dimensions were close enough for gov't work, but the mold to the cargo pan doesn't match well. What I mean is that the templated cutouts for items like the tie down points and rear seat belt are off by the afore mentioned 1/2", but its the tiedowns that are the most mis-matched. What I mean is the cargo pan is a corrugated style with peaks & valleys, the tie downs are in the valleys, but the Armorlite Cargo base has two long (front to back) raised channels. If you intend to cover the tie downs as if they never existed, this works fine, but then you have these two raised ~5/8" hollow cavities running the length of the pan that will get depressed with anything sitting on them. Even if you cut out the tie downs in the correct spots, you have to push the Armorlite down to reveal the tie down point. If that was by design, I'm missing the intended benefit from it.
So a more level headed summary is that the material is pretty amazing, looks really good, and does a noticeable job at reducing sound in the cab space. But there's a need for design improvements to the cargo pan piece. As for value for the price, if you've got the money to spend, solid yes. If you're just doing the seating areas, its a no brainer, but if you're going to sound deadening, you really should do a full kit. However, for those on a budget, be prepared to roll up your sleeves make modifications and dry fit dry fit dry fit before ever putting the blade to the material. Which, btw, have lots of fresh blades handy, whatever this mystery material is, it dulls your blades quickly.
