Battery recommendations for TJ?

Odyssey all the way. Once upon a time I would have recommended Optima, but apparently there quality has gone way down hill since the glory days.

Yes but its added durability and extra long life make it worth it. My Diehard Platinum battery was made for Sears by Odyssey & it's now ten years old without a hiccup.
I bought a Duracell Ultra Platinum agm from Batteries and Bulbs. 4 yr free replacement, 775 cca, deep cycle, 160 bucks.
I just bought a Deep Cycle from them for my trailer. I am seriously hoping they stand behind that warranty as they told me the same thing. I will say I have been running Optima's in my trailer and they were hybrids where I replaced it with a full on RV and so far it has doubled the capacity of the Optima. I mean I can run things twice as long as on the Optima, but definitely takes twice as long to charge. I do hope that that warranty holds in 3 and 1/2 years if I do have issues.
That said he also backed up @Chris's statement about the Optimas. He said that Interstates sold them to a company that transferred their manufacturing to Mexico and since then they haven't been as good. I still run them in my vehicles and have yet to have an issue with them, but they are now only about 20-30 dollars cheaper so if I do have issues with my Optima I may switch as they go out. But so far I have had them in my Ram for two years and in my Jeep for a year and they are solid. FYI I am running dual Yellow tops in both my rigs.

Are Odyssey batteries still a solid choice? Not that I would order online but Amazon has 9% one star reviews which does give me some trepidation.
Were I'm at in AZ the only place to buy one is Batteries Plus and they want $330 + tax. But their website says call for availability which generally isn't promising.
Odyssey has a sterling reputation, no battery talked about on the various Jeep forums has a better reputation.
Summit Racing has good pricing (and free shipping) on Odyssey batteries

Thanks for getting back so quick. My current battery, an O'Reilly AGM suddenly has a bulge at the positive post, 1 week out of warranty. My alternator is good, not overcharging so idk.
I'm hoping the Battery Plus store has the group 34 Odyssey in stock or can get one soon.
Thanks for the heads up, they are the same price as Batteries Plus so I'm hoping to go local just in case there is a warranty issue.

Just in case they don't have Odyssey, they have 2 other options listed in stock, X2 Power Premium agm, which I've read is a rebranded Northstar, also read those may be somewhat equal to Odyssey but with a 5 year warranty. The other is a Duracell Ultra Platinum agm, made by East Penn mfg., 48 mo warranty.
You know anything about the X2 Power batteries? Well really either of those brands but just based on brand name I'm already prejudging the Duracell.
