Boom! TJ was rear-ended

Tj was hit in a low speed rear-end accident. Enough to give me whiplash/ concussion.

Jeep seems fine... no dents... nothing. Tail gate is good.

Oversized spare wrecked his hood... and steel bumpers beat out the plastic bumpers on the honda.

The honda.... not so lucky. Everything crumbled.

Is there anything i should inspect, or a mechanic should check out?

Any internal jeep bleeding? sarcasm

Gears... brakes.. fuel tank..
Any parts vulnerable to a rear end accident?

Frame?

Witness said i drive a tank lol.

I agreed, but told her it doesnt get very far.

Glad the TJ (and you) are alright.

Never hurts to have a body shop take a look at the frame and inspect it just to make sure it's straight.

EVERY THING. If you have their insurance get it inspected like hardcore inspection. Frame. Control arms. Trans mount. Motor mounts. body mounts *just a visual here most likely* Got rust in the frame blame it on the rear end......JK. Look at the jeep from a distance from all sides on a flat surface see if its leaning any direction that it wasnt before. Park in a clean concrete area no leaking GOOD. Leaking old?

I’d have it checked out for sure. Surely there is some paint damage on your rear bumper. Frame, you want to make sure it’s straight. Things you can’t see with your bare eye. If you got a concussion, it seems like a fairly hard hit.

I had the same thing happen to me. My spare tire folded his hood (Honda Accord) like an accordion when he bounced off my Jeep. My Jeep didn't have a scratch and we both just drove off after a minute. He didn't even get out of his car and said he was good. Most likely he didn't have a license or insurance was my guess.

I got hit pretty good at a McDonald’s drive-in...
I didn’t see any damage and told the guy not to worry about it after I calmed down....Then I went about my business and about 45 minutes later I stopped and filled up the jeep and it never would start after that and I had to do a new fuel pump.

The guy that picked me up is a very experienced mechanic and he said he seen that many times after the first fill up after a rear ended.

It was an older guy in a range rover and I’m like man what on earth are you doing...I could feel the blood go to my face.

I got rear ended hard enough to total my tj and drove it for a few weeks after, something in the driveline started screaming at speed, sounded like I had straight cut gears. It was louder than the wind noise at highway speeds with a soft top.

The noise developed slowly over the weeks after getting rear ended.
