I use Simplisafe for my home security and they have a water sensor. I have one behind my washer and on the floor under my water heater but this thread makes a good point about maybe putting one in my pantry.
That said, our floors are finished concrete and we go into the pantry multiple times per day so water damage would be minimal, certainly less upsetting than losing a year supply of beef.
