I have a 6-speed. No TCM. LED's are just visual. According to the FSM's connector C2, pin 11 is the 12v signal for the 4wd light, whether SE, Sport, Sahara, or Rubicon... However, I found the FSM wrong for the Rubicon... I have no pin 11 at C2 to the cluster which leads me to believe the 4wd signal for TJ Rubicons are bused. The Pollak switch supplied by AA is just a N/O switch. so I ran 12v through a relay, to the switch thus visual illumination inside the cab.
I take it you're eventually going to do a 3.6L & W5A580 JK swap? If so, all T-cases in the JK's use a similar 4wd switch based on resistance (similar to TJ Rubicons. AA sells a "JK control module" but I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling, after talking with them, whether or not a TJ PCM would react positively.
