That's good for sanding discs. You will struggle to find an affordable die grinder that will run a cut off disc and do any good with it. If you do find one that will work, the air consumption is astounding. Dynabrade is about what you are looking for. Right angle version.I'm looking at die grinders for the upcoming cut-off-the-track-bar-mount project. Is this one good if I can get enough air to it?

Check eBay for gently used.
Good thinking. Those are far more within reach.
If you can wait, you'll be able to find excellent deals. That's how I've bought my Snap-on tools for cheap brand prices.
Maybe someone on here will lend you their tool for a bit.I'm in no immediate hurry on this.

You can do like I did and buy 4 or 5 90-200 dollar each before you finally get tired of them cutting 1/16" deep per 1/2 hour and then go buy a real die grinder. The one you posted first will actually work. It will be slow and painful, but you can do it. Need some Jimmy's Death Shine cut off discs to stand a chance.Dynabrade 52317 Right Angle Die Grinder, 20000 RPM, Rear Exhaust, 1/4-Inch Collet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00208KD8E/?tag=wranglerorg-20

For short periods. Did you look at the CFM requirement? On the same (barely adequate) compressor, will a Dynabrade work better than a $90-200 unit?
