How do you drive on pavement?

I think your fuel guage needs to be replaced. It's reading @ full. Not sure I've seen that before.
70-75 is it for me on LA freeways. To many earthquake dips and humps in the road surface. And if anything happened at a higher speed than that. I doubt I would be able to control it. Even at 75 you have to watch the road surface and prepare for humps and valleys in the road. The springs push the Jeep up and often at weird angles as the rise in road surface isn't always completely straight. It could be at an angle. If that makes sense. Same with dips in the road surface. You come out of them and the Jeep bounces up. And you lose some ability to steer correctly for a second at those speeds.
Plus I'm almost 55. Life slows down. You realize it's the journey and not the destination. That and you've wrecked enough times to know your life is not hard to snuff out. Comes with age and bad experiences I guess. Things I did with my Suzuki Samurai in my early 20's. Or god knows what other older unsafe cars I drove. Don't come into play anymore. I've been in enough wrecks to know I'm not immortal. And many weren't even at the unsafe highway speeds I used to run. But just around town. It's super easy to lose control or miss something in your way. And not have enough time or ability in your vehicle to avoid them.
That's why you buy a Jeep to begin with. It's not for going fast. Christ. If you want to go fast please choose another vehicle. lol. Jeeps are for going where you normally can't. Far better cars are suited for getting from point A to point B fast. Choose one of those.

Mine does that for a minute every few days. I think it's one those elusive intermittent electrical problems.I think your fuel guage needs to be replaced. It's reading @ full. Not sure I've seen that before.

Damn I’m lucky to get it up to 65. The 4 squirrels get tired quickly...lol
The speed limit went to 70 mph a few years ago and the trip to our cabin is 50 miles up the north east extension which is a 2 lane major truck route in PA. You drive up a 3% grade the whole way. My 2003 TJ is 5 speed so i am able to do 70/75 comfortable and pass at 85. The challenge comes in when i m behind a truck going 60 and you need to speed up.. takes forever. Of course the ride home is 3% downhill grade! All in all I'd rather drive 60/65 but its a death sentence on some of these highways.

Sure do. Had to have it. It’s the best color imho. Except if you want to drive inconspicuously, which I suppose has its merits. I searched far and wide before finding this one that’s for sure.
It certainly is the best color! When I was shopping for another Jeep, it caught my eye. I knew I didn't want any other color.
Jeep is mostly for off road or around town. 70mph is pretty much as fast as I go, but I like to accelerate quickly. I have several other vehicles that do MUCH better on the highway. I admit, if the Jeep is going more than 2 hours from home- is is on a trailer behind my Ram 2500.
