How To LS Swap Your TJ

First off let's discuss price.

Doesn't matter if it's a LS or Hemi or diesel swap none of them are cheap....
DIY price is $5k-12k depending on engine.

Paying someone to do it and you're talking $20k-30k most likely.

Performance is worth it. Period.

I really don’t know how people do it for under $10k, I just “refreshed” my junkyard engine myself and was at least 10.

Kind of a side question, but how do you insure it?

After sinking $10k+ into a 20+ year old Jeep, do you use something like Hagerty's and insure for a fixed value?

With my luck, after I got mine done I would get T-boned by some retard playing Candy Crush while they were driving.

Depends on your insurance company.
Some allow you to state a value and then insure it for that amount.
State Farm says they want receipts showing the additional parts.

And from what I've read Hagerty has some stritc rules about usage.
But I've never checked.

I don't either but if you're are given a vehicle I guess you can do it cheaper.
After my first V-8 swap I'd never do another without going through the engine first.

I guess I just hope for the best….

It has to be parked in a garage at night and you must have a regular daily driver , You can't use a pickup for any pickup type things . I don't know what they would say about a Jeep . It's basically Toy insurance .
