Ignition Lock Housing Replacement

Some fakkas tried to steel my TJ and sawed the ignition housing. Idiots didn't know how to drive a standard trans I assume because they didn't drive away with it after going through all that work. Still starts up, just have to use pliers to turn the ignition.

Anyways, Im having trouble finding a replacement ignition lock housing. The ignition will need replaced but the actual housing that bolts to the steering column is damaged.

Anybody have any idea what this part is called or have experience replacing it? Or do I need to replace the whole column?

Thanks for filling out your profile. That part is not available to purchase separately from the column. Go to a local wrecking yard and buy a used one. There’s lots of 1997 steering columns for sale on eBay for about $75. Just need to make sure you get one for a manual transmission and if you have tilt wheel make sure the replacement is also. BTW, I hate thieves too!

I was in a similar situation. I found this company. I bought the instructions and the ignition cylinder housing from them and had it installed within two hours. Works perfectly.

Did they send a hard copy or digital instructions?
