Got a new alternator installed, 117A some name brand that my buddies shop could get. Hey lifetime warranty covered by someone else, I’ll take it! 
Also this has me thinking long term electrically. Lets just say I had a good long call with the owner of Kodiak today. More to follow as always!

Look how purdy...Back on the road again. It is almost a shame it will never look like that again. haha
God dangit I just couldn’t hold out, I ended up finding a new in box Garnin Trail guide for the TJ NIB from a guy on ebay, I didn’t pay very much for it at all and garantees it will work upon installation. These things were really pricy & still are on the AEV forums. Excited to see what all the hype is about

I never knew such a thing existed... Wow, it looks like a factory accessory!
Wonder how long it will last before it's out of date software / map wise?
It was a factory accessory from Jeep, it using the stock plug. Garmin will almost always update maps on any of their devices, for a price of course!
That looks great like Chris said! It looks like it came with the Jeep. I kmow you said it was an option but it looks really cool.

Yeah although I didn't think out a couple things that are going to bother me a ton. Sadly the pricing is nearly the same as a SPOD at this time.. Not an immediate thing I am planning but will update accordingly of course

A couple goodies came in today! Still surprised this thing was all sealed up in the box. It looks great & stoked to get it installed.
Winch is fully powered now & trail guide is installed. I have to say the Jeep trail guide is a really nice little unit & very well thought out in terms of charging/storage/portability. I will try to update it pretty soon so will let you guys know how that guys.
Shown below is the winch power/negative leads being installed, this is semi-temporary to get me by until I do the dual battery setup.
Shown below is the installation of the Garmin MOPAR Jeep Trail Guide for the Jeep Wrangler TJ (Part Number: 82209336AB):
Hand drilling the holes for the mount:
Main navigation screen shown with antenna extended:
Shown below is the message that appears once the key is put in the off position, really nice feature to avoid excess use of the internal battery:
Here is the main screen for selecting navigation options search for points of interest. Really funny Jeep included a dealership locator.
Removing the Trail Guide for handheld use:
Internal storage cubby of the console holds the GPS when not in use:
Cover that rolls down when the GPS is not in use:
Time will tell how useful it is, still need to install bootcamp/parallels in order to use the CD that came with it to update the GPS & load maps. It has a trackback feature that should be incredibly useful for trails and if I am lucky I can map/load future trail routes. As always more to come!

Pretty great $900.00 gps that was discounted to $85.00.

That's about as rare as the rockcrawler bumpers. Very cool indeed. Your right about the cost...they are super expensive.
Well lots of build thread changes going on lately... lots of life-related changes. Accidently marketed and sold my back seat for way more than I thought it was worth so looks like I have a little extra christmas money this time around. Being as I sold my back seat I am planning on really shifting the whole rig to overland and still wheel. I still have the bartact seat covers for sale and have full intention of going suspension seats on the front two. I’m spearheading a wheeling trip to Stoney Lonesome on January 13th with a local group I ride with. Anywho whats an update without a picture? A rare glimpse into a short lived Alabama “blizzard”
