Jeepndogs LJ Rebuild

I have been doing it 32 years. Stared out as a tech, went into the management side around 2000 ended up as an Operations Manager for a independent that had 15 locations. Got a little burned out on all the crap day in and day out. I have been a Technical Trainer for Gerber Collision now for a few years. I cover their shops in the Midwest and help with their OEM certifications and do all of their Welding certifications. In the past two years I have done the BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Tesla,Porsche, Honda, Ford, GM, and Toyota certifications. So it’s been exciting to say the least! Lol!

Way past my pay grade! I just managed an independent for 5ish years, and before that was a PPG jobber for 15ish. Now all I have is a Matco knockoff gun, a Dewalt DW849 rotary, and a Griots DA polisher for the inner detail geek in me. I did manage to pool enough skillz to build my frankentrailer though, so I have that, lol!

If I have my way the wife and I will be relocating to the Colorado area in the next 5 years or so. I just want to put up a good size pole barn on some property and do restoration work and chassis work. Maybe through a few Jeep builds in here and there.

@psrivats has them in his TJ (the IGGEE covers I mean). They look so good that when I first saw his Jeep in person I thought he'd had the seats redone in leather. You really can't tell it's a seat cover, they fit that well!

I do love my Iggee covers. I got them in grey/black and they look great in my Jeep. I got my cloth seats steam cleaned and these went on top of them. Super easy to keep clean after a long day of hiking or biking since they don't retain any stink. The install takes a bit of effort but they are sized really well and match the contour of the seats perfectly.

I strongly recommend them if you don't mind the feel of vinyl seats.

They really do look fantastic, and I appreciate you posting a pic. These and some seat heaters are definitely going on the list for 2020, maybe sooner. Very clean look

There was someone on the forum who put a BMW 3 series (I think) leather seats in his TJ. They were not much more than the Iggee and I remember them looking really fantastic. They had built in heaters too. Let me see if I can find that post.

Edit: Found it. It was from an E90.

Sorry for the slight derail @jeepndogs

It’s been a busy few weeks. All the rust repair and patch work is done. Underside of the tub was cleaned and epoxied. All the filler work is done. I need a day or so to finish pulling the bumper, windshield and some small trim items and it’s off to the shop for final sand and the entire Jeep will get a few coats of epoxy followed up by some 2K primer. If all goes well it will be yellow again by March.

Looks great man! All the same spots you repaired are bad on mine...That is future Mike's problem though...I can't decide if I want to fix this tub, or just let it go to shit and replace it with a nice, rust free one in a few years.
