Hey guys and gals!

I’ve got a set of rear King shocks that I took off my 2002 Wrangler I’m looking to sell.

I’m not sure of the model, OEM I believe. They don’t have an external adjustment knob, and I don’t know if they’ve been tuned or not.

They were on the Jeep when I bought it and were way too stiff for my taste. So other than the fact they fit, I don’t know much about them.

My Jeep’s net lift is just under 4”.

Shocks at full length = 22 1/8”

Shocks collapsed = 13 7/8”

Shaft stroke = 8 1/4”

They come with the adapter brackets, but the dumbass who installed them didn’t use the proper spacers and the ears need a little tweaking.

The shocks have a couple of dings and scratches but seem to work properly.

I know what these go for new, so I was thinking I’d ask $500 for ‘em.

Using my google fu I think these are for a 3-5 inch lift if i'm not mistaken, anyone else want to chime in?

If so I might be interested...Are you willing to ship these? I'm in SoCal and looked up the city you have on your profile and it's freaking far to drive out there.

these are the specs on this part number:

Lifted Amount Range (in):
3.00-5.00 in.
Extended Length (in):
22.139 in.
Collapsed Length (in.):
13.796 in.

Measurements seem pretty close to what you've listed.

In the interest of full disclosure, here are pictures of the dings and scratches.

Dings on the outside are only cosmetic.

The small marks on the shafts are next to the rod end. Right at the point of almost full collapse, and I believe won’t cause any issues. You can see the rod end at the right side of each picture.

I’ve not seen any leaks or anything else that would be an issue.

I can push and pull the rod the full stroke, but it’s heavily dampened.

Hey I’m still interested but was hoping to get some thoughts on if they would fit my 2.5 lift with a 1.25 body lift.
I know you said you have just under 4 is that all suspension or a mix of both?

@pcoplin any thoughts on whether these are the ones I mentioned in the earlier posts or based off of the measurements would they fit my 2.5SL and 1.25BL?

About these fitting your rig, I really cannot judge how they will work out for you.

I will say I measured the shocks as well as you could with a tape measure, and my measurements are very close to the information you posted.

And if shocks with spec’s like that will work on your rig, you’re in business.

And shipping them is no problem, as long as you cover the cost. I'll probably do USPS, I think it may me cheaper than UPS.

I've got a double thick cardboard box to put them in so they'll ship safe. And I'll drop by the post office today and see what the cost would be. They go by size and weight, and I don't have a scale. BTW, those pups are heavy!

They may fit in a FedEx flat rate tube. I shipped my control arms out that way and it was right around $35. UPS and USPS wanted $80 for the same items.

Just got back from the PO, and they said $38 to your zip code.

And BTW, I totally forgot I also have the King steering dampner. It’s got some ugly grind marks on it, but it seems to work ok. I’ll be glad to throw it in.

It won’t fit in the box I’ve got, but I’d put it in some other container and get it down to you as well, and I’ll cover that cost.

The marks on the dampner are from the crappy install the PO did, it was dragging on stuff and apparently he didn’t care.

I don’t know if I still have the crappy mount the guy had on the tie rod, but if I can find it, I’ll send it along too.

I guess the beauty of the King stuff is that it’s all serviceable/rebuildable.
