Also had the tires rebalanced this week. Smooth as butta up to 80 mph. Except for the harmonic driveshaft vibes.

Squared up the rear axle as it was off about .25 from the center skid bolt even though all the links were same length.

Drives better than it ever has!

Also added an arb pump up kit to the compressor in case I ever need it for emergencies. The clip on air chuck it comes with is petty nice!

Found to source of my slow ac leak that seems to be leaking faster.

Aging jeep problems. I'll get a new one en route. Anything else I should do while I'm in there? New dryer and orifice tube? though they are both fairly new from the heater core and new evaporator done last year. New shader valves. Compressor seems fine.

If your humidity isn't extremely high and you plug the openings quick i don't think I'd do a new accumulator. If its a pain to get someone else to pull the system down and charge it then the extra 60$ for orifice and dryer could be cheap isurance?

It's real humid 😆. I have a new accumulator and orifice tube coming with the condensor from jeep air.

I understand the accumulator/dryer, but what happens to the orifice tube to make it go bad, Rick?

On mine, the shader valve is stuck and leaks intermittently. That's why I need that entire line with the tube. Jeep air had it though. My compressor is still working fine but that would be the last original part in the system.

Not thrilled with jeepair.com. ordered a liquid line from them, drier and condensor. Liquid line package was the complete wrong order, just 2 universal 10" fans and a universal condensor ment for someone in GA.

The condensor I ordered was delivered and is just a UAC chinese unit which was double of what they charge every where else. Not to mention the drier and oil were jammed in the original condensor packaging which ultimately damaged some fins and put a nice bend/bow in the condensor. No bow in the condensor on the other side where there was no drier. What is frustrating about all this is on their return page they explicitly say, do not ship items in the manufactures original packaging. I emailed them for a refund and I'll order a denso unit elsewhere. Buyer be ware for jeepair.com

Overcharging and under delivering

That's a bummer. Always a disappointment when you order and have high expectations and when you finally get the items, its a giant letdown.

Yeah bummer for sure. Was hoping to get this ac fixed this weekend. Oh well, it's not mission critical.

I sent my rear driveshaft back to tom woods for balancing. Also ordered a new front one from them after talking to Shawn woods. So jeep is torn down for now.

I need to open up the oil drain in the rear axle. I keep spitting gear oil out the breather on speeds above 70mph and arb said to open the drain up more. So I can mess with that for now and shouldn't be too bad.

Rear driveshaft showed up last week. I have been adjusting from zero degree difference between DS and pinion angle up to 2.5 degrees. Everything in between. It seems the smoothest at about 1 degree down. It still has faint rhythmic vibes at 45 and small vibes above 70. Enough to buzz the 4wd shifter against the shifter plate.

I have put about 150 miles on this testing different angles for the rear ds. I'm leaving it at 1 degree below for now because it seems the smoothest and I'm tried of messing with it.

Waiting on the correct front driveshaft after 3 attempts. UPS lost one and tom woods sent me the incorrect replacement.

Next I'll tackle the ac condenser. Then the front driveshaft when it gets here.

I thought about trying Dennys driveshafts in the future. They can balance up to 10,000 rpm so they say.

I didn't go back in time or anything when I hit this mileage.

Otherwise the jeep drives great. The Walker clamp at the muffler leaks so I may swap it with a u bolt style clamp as they seal better at the cost of being removable.

Pic also shows rpm with 35s at 70 mph and 5.13s for anyone wondering what that looks like.

Ac is working! Condensor in yesterday and pulled s vacuum today. Getting 38 degrees out the center stack vents. Pressures within spec for 90 degrees ambient temp per the chart below. Feels good to get ac back.

Been driving it and logged another 150 miles since the weekend.
6th gear at 50mph

Ac was working great for a few days but the compressor locked up yesterday.

Denso compressor, condensor and drier in route.

We drove my wife's pilot around for the rest of the day. I told her it was boring and there is no sense of adventure since it works all the time. 😂

Fixed the rear oil drains since it keeps spewing gear oil on longer interstate runs. Matched the gap of the upper oil inlet on the axle tube, about 11/16" on my axle. Diff back together and no air leaks.

I'm waiting on some longer wheel studs before I put the shafts back in and confirm its all good. There wasn't enough thread engagement for my liking with these wheel spacers.

Jeep dialed in, ac working and no oil out the vent breather.

Buuutttt, it's being sold to a local club member and fellow jeep enthusiast. New owner is a former ultimate adventure participant too and knows the previous owner. I have first buyback rights if they decide to sell it.

It's been a fun journey and thanks to everyone for the help along the way. I'll still be around as jeep fan.

Did you tell the new owner about the forum? And suggest that they join?
