Utah Moab in May 2025

Ok, you can add me 👍

Now I need to figure out where to stay/camp. I feel way behind the ball on this one.

That is my preference.

I literally did that last trip. I ate, drank, drove 2,000 miles and it all cost me $1000. LOL. Had a great camping spot overlooking what I think was a portion of Steel Bender. Saw a few camped on the way in, but didn’t see a soul all week. Needed 33’s just to get there. It was pretty great till my tent blew down the last two days. I ended up boarding up with @NashvilleTJ for the last night.

Such a beautiful area to camp, but I'd be in a shitty mood dealing with the sand and not showering for a week. I'm such a princess, I know

When the wind got blowing I got tired of the Bedouin life. I was showering at the Lazy Lizard in town for $2. We’d get in from wheeling. I’d go shower, change clothes, and go to dinner. That worked out really well.

Ah okay, I guess that's not so bad. Basically my routine but with more planning ahead. Meet any interesting lizards over there?

I saw some lizards laying around, but I steered clear of everyone but the guy behind the desk. I thought about staying there this year. It would about $50 for the week if I recall, but they don’t have a hot tub. 😂

EDIT: Correction $17/night in dormitory. $43/night private room. But the no hot tub is still true.

Well, Jeremy, what I remember is that you were so run down from lack of sleep that you lost focus and rolled your rig…

🤔

Wait, I was sleeping fine…

🤔

Nevermind…

🙂

Really looking forward to seeing everyone.

The hot tub is worth it for sure. I am still sad to not be at the KOA this year for that. Parties at your place!!!!

Did your son pick a date for the wedding then??

Come over for hot tub, beer, and stogies. Maybe burritos will find their way over! I’m a Mexican food addict. It looks like my son is going to pick a date in early June, so things look good so far!!

Oh I definitely will

You'll be eating burritos for lunch on the trail every day if I have anything to say about it 😂

Glad to hear it's looking like you're gonna make it too

not skeered of a little weather (except the 100* shit that caused me to cancel last year).

It was fine. Dry heat and all that. I was able to run (mostly in the shade by the creek through town) most days mid-afternoon after we got off the trail. The only heat problem was the day I rode the "Whole Enchilada" trial on my mountain bike. Minimal shade on that and I nearly passed out by the end🥵
I will say the Jeep's ambient temp gauge was often in the 120s while out on the trail

Bring that shit over and let's fix it up. You're less than 90 minutes from me.

Thank you! I actually got off my ass and figured out it was my control arm spitting out a snap ring. Ended up not related at all, I just suspected my diff for no other reason than I had broken an axle shaft recently.

You could regear twice as fast if you do both ends at the same time.
