MORE motor mount lift problem

Also having alignment issues. The lower part of the bracket is running into the frame side of the mount. I also can’t push the mount towards the block anymore, the bolt is flush with the slot on the mount itself. Any suggestions?

When I had this same problem I trimmed material off the bottom of the frame horn to allow the engine side mount to raise up to get the bolt in. I read about it at the time and believe it is a common issue and also likely causes vibes if not clearanced. I’ve got no vibes after the install.

Found a pic:

Wonder if it’s better to do the frame or the bracket. Glad I’m not the only one having this issue.

Filed away a bunch of material, the inside fin on the bracket was making contact as well. But I also just realized the mount stud is hitting the bracket bolt??? How?? Its slightly longer than the stock mount bolt.

Yes. I’ve pointed this out, but information sometimes hard to find. Cut the bolt down and taper the threads so it’s out of the way and easy to get started. Should solve the problem.

this pisses me off that a universal option has this many issues. @E-Ticket what year is yours? Mines an 06, not sure if they changed the engine to mount bracket over the years

I think 05-06 was a break in th Motor Mount. If not it was 03-06. I remember people saying there was no interference with there’s. Quite obviously there is with ours. Not even close.

That’s what I thought. Beyond dumb.

Mine is an 06 as well

Go figure. I just got both mounts on, but not done. I had to take the lower bracket bolt off the passenger side, thread on the mount nut, then put the bolt back in. The flange on that bolt was catching the stud so I filed it down a bit, hopefully I can get it back on. Downside is there is less clamping surface area on that bolt now.
