Mounting tool box in LJ

I’ve got a 32” UWS toolbox that I’ve been trying to mount in my LJ but I have had some trouble figuring out how.

I’ve seen several threads of them mounted in Tj’s but I want to keep my rear seats so I am unsure how I can keep it secure back there while off-roading so it doesn’t bang around and break something.

Anyone have any ideas?

Will it fit behind the rear seat? At 12 7/8" deep at the lid it looks like it should. If not, you can drill an extra hole in each rear seat bracket and move the seat forward a bit. [On my LJ I measured the footroom in front of the seat, compared that to the footroom in a TJ, and split the difference. No one has ever noticed, but it allowed me to fit my interior cargo rack behind the seat and not have stuff hit the rear window of my hard top. I might be inclined to set the box in place, drill two small holes through box bottom and tub in opposite corners, and bolt the box in place using fender washers for a bit of reinforcement. You can always seal up the holes in the box in future if you decide to use it in another vehicle and don't need the holes.

App speaks the truth. Used u-bolts through the oem tie downs. THe box material is very thin so i added backing bars inside.
