OK so when & where are we meeting to start this trip? How long should I tell loved ones I'll be gone? Year? 18 months?
I need time to get my trailer repaired as I don't think I can fit all I'll need in my TJ.

I don’t imagine I’ll be joining anytime soon lol. There are certain obligations I have to meet at least on a weekly basis in person and until those go away I won’t be making this trip

and I only have the beginnings of my trailer purchased so there’s that too. But man it would be one awesome trip

So in my effort to maintain the factory 3rd brake light I found this replacement led housing.

Now it somewhat matches the look of the Savvy tail lights. So tomorrow I’ll post my attempt at making it work with the 35 spare.

I have a plan...

Ok so the 3rd brake light project is on pause. So instead I took care of this little project I’d been meaning to knock out. In California your license plate is required to be lit and the Savvy tail lights eliminate the TJs license plate light. I couldn’t bring myself to pay $50+ for some of the options out there so for less than $20 I rigged this up.

First step I got this cheap plate frame that is slightly rounded.

Then I ordered this cheap motorcycle license plate light with 3m double sided tape on it and two little screws and ran and spliced the wires accordingly.

I stuck the light on so that it was angled towards the plate slightly and screwed in the little screws to the frame. Cheap and easy. Hopefully it’ll last
