OME 2.5” lift or 2” lift?

I was not running Rancho springs. I was running OME springs with my old shocks. I went back and checked on my old shocks and they were skyjacker hydro 7000s - not Ranchos. Admittedly, they were the budget ones, but everything I read said that hydraulic action shocks were more plush than Nitrogen shocks.
The Fox shocks I got are the Fox 2.0s.
Can't remember the OME springs numbers, but they were the "light duty" ones.

Here is a photo of the comparison between the rear stock and OME springs. My paperwork says the OME rear springs were model number 2941.

It actually works well. Other than having two sets of spacers, the height is just right for 33s and the seat height is just high enough that I can still get in without a step. The 33s don't rub even with the sway bar disconnected. For overlanding I like it a lot. The fox shocks seem to absorb bumps more than resist them so It makes for a much better ride although with the added height it is still more tippy than stock.
Sounds like you are happy. FWIW, I don’t think your TJ is more tippy. They are remarkably stable. Ask me how I know.

I hated my Fox 2.0’s, but to each his own. How long are they? I didn’t know we had an option for your lift height.

You are right. The Fox catalog listed a rear set for a 2.5" lift but not a front set. I searched until I found the question asked to a Fox rep and he said use the stock - 2" ones if I remember right and they have been fine.
