OME 2.5" lift in progress!

Very excited to have this finally happening. I was going to fit myself but the weather ha sturned in the UK and I don't have a garage so it came down to finding someone who knew their stuff!

Still need to work out whether to go for 32"s or 33"s but we'rer getting there.

32” are probably the “ideal” size for that lift. Im on 33’s and will probably be adding a BL for other reasons too…

The 32 inch tires will be great with that lift . Now the gear ratio is going to determine whether your Jeep is happy with 32 inch tires .

I’m fitting the exact same kit… but thanks to Work I’m probably three weeks behind you in getting it put together.
(plus I’m changing the colours)

Well, I cheated and got a mechanic on it When you say changing the colour, do you mean from the yellow.

Yes, this is the question! So much mixed information out there. 3.73 gearing. Pavement princess. Really want to go 33's... We'll see.

I started with a 2" lift and 31s. In reality the lift ended up netting me 2.5" so it is possible that you end up with a little more. This easily put me in range of 33s by adding just a simple body lift which also opens the possibility of a tummy tuck/SYE down the line. The only thing to keep in mind is you would like need to regear for 33s but better to do that once. I would skip the 32s which were also only available in 12.5 width I believe which I did not want.

I ran 32 inch tires with 3.73 gears for 10 years . I could only use overdrive on flat ground running 60 mph and above . We now run 4.88 gears with 32 inch tires and run approximately 2100 rpm at 60 mph in overdrive .

My 32 inch tires are skinny @ 9.25 inches wide .

Yes I have nothing yellow on the Jeep so painting the springs blue and the shocks black

My mistake and you are correct. The KO2s I was looking at only came in 32x11.5 where 31 and 33 came on 10.5 width.

I didn’t realize with the engine mounts I used for my v8 swap a body lift is required. In reality it worked fine until I tried to add AC.
