We shall see. Got to all the bolts at lunch. the last one by the firewall was loose, so I'll find out tomorrow if that was it.
If you scrape the rest of it then it will match very well.
Looks like we have a matching set. Mine took the same damage at calico. Im sure the concert slabs at cow mountain didn't help either.

A bit of good news today. Found a rear manifold nut loose, so tightened it up and no more whistle noise this morning. Yay! wish all fixes were this simple.

Picked up some tow hooks. Since I have re-located my fog lights, I can now use the tow hooks as attachment points for my safety cables when I'm flat towing. Just need to purchase the brackets for my D-ring mounts and I can get rid of the hideous tow bar brackets on the frame.

Bob - been looking for your Nomad wheels online and can't seem to find many that show in stock. Any ideas on where to locate? Full disclosure, I'm lazy so very well could have missed these somewhere. I am wanting to possibly return to 15 inch wheels and go 32x11.50 on tires (or if I go BL, 33", but would likely need regear so...).

Sadly, the Nomads have been discontinued. You might find some overstock somewhere if you do some searching.
I put this in the dedicated thread, but thought I'd add to my build thread since it has some significance. serviced my MC front lower arms and swapped out the Duroflex bushings for the new Kevlar formula bushings. Old bushings have 30K+ miles and still look good.
At full articulation the bushing shows a slight sign of cracking at the shank. I talked to MC about this and they didn't seem concerned about it, so neither am I.
these bushings are super easy to change out.
Notice the marks on the old bushing shank on the right? the oval hole in the axle side arm bracket has worn a groove on the shank. Not overly concerning, but I wanted to fix that, so I ordered some of Blaine's magic washers to fix that.
Should take care of that issue.

Finally, a significant update to my build. My beautiful bride surprised me with a birthday present.
Like my baby body lift, it is a baby tummy tuck. I'll gain 1.5" of clearance with this heavy ass piece of steel.

Rattle can FTW! Easy touch ups. It don't have to look pretty, just not rust.
I started off by cleaning it with a citrus based degreaser and a red scotchbrite pad, then hosed off with water and dried.
I hung it up in the shop and cleaned it again with wax/grease remover and a scotchbrite pad, and wiped clean.
3 coats of Zero Rust should take care of it.

I'll let it dry over the weekend, and try to find time to get it installed.
