From Savvy, there’s a weld bead at each end of that seam. I asked a welder at work to connect them.
That's new then because mine from earlier this year doesn't have it.
That’s what I was thinking. I ordered in November but it had already been in stock. Think manufacturing tweaks based on feedback from the field? That would be nice.
Yes, bolts to the side of it. The combination of slots 90 degrees to each other allows it to be adjusted to a wide range of positions.
Here is a picture of the hanger. What are those smaller pieces in the middle and the longer angles to the right?
The two angles and the smaller pieces are for the front of the engine skid.
Dammit. BL was also missing bolts. Savvy replaced those, gonna have to call again.
Looking at my uninstalled savvy engine skid plate, I have the two smaller brackets but missing this longer bracket on the right. Is the piece on the right needed for the left engine mount to clear the savvy mid arm upper link?
I do not have the midarm but I’m planning for it. Worth installing the engine skid with that part now?
There is no harm installing the bracket now that I can think of.
Yes it is worth it and it isn't the end of the world to just extend the original mount which is how that longer piece came to be. We extended one and sent it to Marty to get copied.
