Things you dislike on TJs?

I liked the halos when they originally appeared on the BMW E39 models.

What happened is that then every ricer in the world added them to their Honda, and I quickly started to dislike them. Now I don't even like them on BMWs anymore.

So yes, once upon a time I liked them, but once everyone started doing it, I started to dislike them.

Well that's what I was thinking, that maybe it means something, or it's team colors or something? I just say that because both of those Jeeps have the exact same color accent trim. It's not like one is blue and one is red, they're both the exact same colors. Seems to me like that's either got to be one of three things:

1) It stands for something
2) They know each other
3) It's one hell of a coincidence

I just really enjoy shades of turquoise & when I found the colour Tropical Turquoise I figured it was a sign. Mine doesn't stand for anything. On my island it's not as weird or tacky to sport bright colours like this. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. At least I don't have an angry eyes grill..

• He has enough lights to light up a football stadium
• Why is there a jerry can on the side of the vehicle? There's also one on the back I can see.
• Clearly he plans on going underwater with that snorkel. I wonder if he realizes all his lights will short out as soon as he submerges it?

On a side note, a roof rack (on any vehicle really) out here on these tree-infested trails east of the Mississippi is truly asking for damage. Most of the time a wrangler is JUST small enough to squeeze thru to the good stuff, and that's generally at a 30 degree side angle while just missing your soft-top. Hell I SOLD my hard top out of fear of bashing it beyond being worth anything

Most of the time a wrangler is JUST small enough to squeeze thru to the good stuff, and that's generally at a 30 degree side angle while just missing your soft-top. Hell I SOLD my hard top out of fear of bashing it beyond being worth anything

This is one of the primary reasons I never got a roof rack. I knew it would just be asking for trouble on some of these trails around here with low hanging trees.

We had two rigs with trailers last weekend on our 2 day overlanding trip through multiple state forests and yea low hanging branches but everyone plowed through them. Not worried about scratches. The two goons with trailers could never turn around and were the only ones that needed winches. Roof racks were strong enough to take the beating and protect people's hard tops. I am still a believer in them. Plus I like the look. Btw I used my hilift(; had to bring a 5 gallon gas tank inside my jeep too so I'll be investing in Jerry cans soon for my next overlanding trip come may (from MInnesota to Arizona. Not all those poser mods are JUST for looks. Idc what people think of them because I honestly see use in them [emoji23]. Snorkels I agree and freaking retarded. Agreement there achieved hahah

I'm with you. I like the look of the roof rack, but also the functionality (as long as you are careful with your center of gravity). I'm going to start with the over the tire rack first and see if I need more space or not.

Don't try this in salt water but the lights of a vehicle submerged in fresh water will continue burning until the battery dies. For the same reason non-waterproof winches will work fine when submerged in fresh water. Low voltage devices don't have much problem in fresh water.

In salt water the fuses will blow because salt water conducts electricity very well.

I couldn't find the picture I used to use to illustrate this with a car completely submerged in fresh water with its lights still burning brightly but this will do.

So I decided on the TJ and a cargo carrier. It has turned out great. I can hunt and retrieve animals easily on the cargo rack, go camping, transport bikes, get the feed we need. You can also take it to a location and take it off in 2 minutes if you want to go wheelin.

I agree with this. I've hauled everything from camping equipment to a Christmas tree, a snow blower and a Jeep rear end on mine. I always put it on when I go to auto flea markets.
