Time for new battery

8-year-old Die Hard Platinum is still going! I wonder if it makes sense to proactively replace it before it goes dead on a trip.

Are you going someplace where they don't sell batteries?

Do you carry a jump pack in your jeep?

Is the battery you would purchase now rather than later currently on sale at an unbeatable price or is it regular price?

Is your first thought when you climb into your jeep and reach for the ignition with the key, I wonder if the battery is dead?


Your answers to those questions will determine whether it makes sense.
 
I've used Optima yellow tops in all of my cars for many years. I usually run at least 1500 watts of stereo equipment and the yellow top has always worked well. In my jeep I currently have an interstate and I just swapped a yellow top into my bronco. I may put a motorcraft in the Bronco and put the yellow top in my Jeep. Trying to keep the bronco 100% Ford.
