Summit Racing has made the lower seat foams for our TJ Jeeps. 97-02 and 03-06 LH and RH along with a high quality seat bushing kit to replace the broken ones.

I'm referring to just a regular stock base steering wheel, not one with leather or some other wrapping.

They look nice. Do you have one? I have called most of the interior shops in town and none of them wanted anything to do with wrapping my steering wheel in leather.

I stitched a leather wrap on mine with some closed cell foam padding under it. Feels and looks great. Of course, the rest of steering wheel still looks tired.

For those who have heated seat pads and put the new Summit foam in, did you have any issues re-sticking the seat heaters to the new foam? Or getting them off the old foam for that matter?

I put them on my foam, under the OEM seat fabric, then a few years later put Bartact seat covers on over the OEM fabric.

What is your seat heater setup? I should consider adding them, my heater core is bypassed and I dont plan to change that anytime soon so seat heaters would be a good idea.

I went with Metra as the company had good support and lots of control options. They heat up fast. The boss loves them.

Getting the seat heater off of the old foam was a pain in the ass. I took a razor blade and cut just below the heater taking only foam and not cutting into the heater. I wasn't sure if it was going to work, but it did. I used 3M spray adhesive to put it on the new seat cushion and that worked really well. I also have the regular seat cover and then Bartact over the top of that.

Thankfully from what I remember I just slid in my heaters without and adheasive.

Thanks. Any specific 3M spray adhesive? I’ve used a few different kinds of their spray adhesive over the years but can’t remember which.

I was afraid of that. I may consider getting another set and just putting new heaters on the new foam
