Doesn't appear that he can hear anything unless he is driving so it will be difficult to verify/rule that out at the moment

This is the reason why I posted the link....Jeep started making a slight squeak/chirp noise, I listened at idle and it sounded like it was coming from the K&N filter.
I'm no expert, but I had a problem with a chirping sound when I was in motion. Turns out, the U joint in the front drive shaft was shot, and it was just kickin' around when I was moving. Sounded like marbles swirling around in a glass jar. Wasn't too expensive to fix, though.Hi all. Jeep started making a slight squeak/chirp noise, I listened at idle and it sounded like it was coming from the K&N filter. Was planning on going back to stock anyway, (thank you all for your help). Was hoping it was just a clogged filter. NOT! Over time the sound is more frequent, and unfortunately I can't hear it sitting, with hood up and revving engine. It happens at different times, different speeds, not constant, (yet?) . It is not a loud high pitch sound, more like when brakes squeak. To my eye, belt looks good, not rusted on any pully area. She's got 72,000 well cared for miles. Is there anything I can do, can check to give an idea what might be going on? Any thoughts would be great.

The newer style OPDA may have been phased in late in the 2004 production year.I never noticed the first time I watched this that he says he is changing the OPDA in a 2004
Well that would open up a whole new barrel of monkeys. 04 05 06 prone to OPDA problemsThe newer style OPDA may have been phased in late in the 2004 production year.
