I picked up two TJ grills from the junkyard today. I'll clean these up and get them painted, and then have a nice wooden table top made. I'll also add cross braces on the bottom for support, perhaps using a rear TJ tailgate door? Not sure yet. I intend it to be a coffee table for apartment, but eventually I will ship it home as a lanai table near by the pool (roof overhead). I'll install leds in the headlamps and wire it with a battery pack. I'm leaning towards re-painting them black, but may do silver as well, or go buck wild and paint it some wild color that would accent a Florida swimming pool (I am not known for my interior fashion prowess). Small wheels? Small wheels with remote and motor? A table that drives itself over to the door for ice and adult beverage may be ridiculous, or maybe not. Built in refrigerator? I am not opposed to getting stupid with this. I paid $68 dollars per rust free un-dented grill, I think I could have gotten him down to 50, but I was lazy in my haggling.
