Torching the Draglink

Just like any other part of my old rusty TJ, the draglink is seized. I used a ton of Kroil. I was able to loosen the two bolts. I can not get the sleeve to budge so I can adjust my steering. question is can I torch the draglink so I can rotate it to fix my off-center steering? Am I going to damage anything by doing so? ( A few of you good folks on here suggested the draglink adjustment for fixing my off-center steering wheel )

I remember adjujsting the tie rod on my jeep for the first time. LOTS of heat. After multiple attempts of bits of heat I kept the torch on it for several minutes and just barely got it started with a 3' pipe wrench. Keep it away from plastic, and rubber and you should be okay.

The adjuster will hold water unless you get lucky and the gap ends up pointing down.
I always spray some type of rust preventer into the sleeve after adjusting.

Here's another thought.
The tool you're using is squeezing the adjuster tight, similar to what the clamps do.
Maybe try putting a flat screwdriver in the gap to turn and break free.

I used a pry bar in the slot but wasnt able to get it to budge

Can you use the pry bar to open up the slot?

I had a similar issue years ago and I ended up pulling the drag link from the pitman arm and worked on trying to break it free. I was able to get a better grip on things and IIRC, used a large pipe wrench on TRE pitman end, and another on the sleeve. Worked them back and forth and finally broke them free.

Update: Thank you all who commented in my thread. I am happy to say that torching the sleeve for solid 4 minutes and tons of Kroil did the trick!
What was nice was the fact that after flaming the sleeve, I could see the slot opening more, so I sprayed a ton of Kroil in it.
