We had about 4-5" out of this one with another storm coming tomorrow, though I dont think it will be near as bad. Can't wait to adsorb some vitamin D in Moab.Heading our way saying 3-4 by tomrw lunch

Ohio too!
What's the UV-5R mount? Looks like it cradles it really wellScrounging to get Moab ready. Oil change as we speak, mounted my radio while it's draining. Still need to set my toe and tie up the front driveshaft. And fix my door handle from the inside...View attachment 245750
Is the TJ on the street yours too?Ohio too!View attachment 245751
Yes. 04 RubiIs the TJ on the street yours too?
I picked it up off ebay. It's a metal version. I'd like to weld a mic arm to it. Still need to paint it too but I'll do that laterWhat's the UV-5R mount? Looks like it cradles it really well
Missing one completely, other three were very loose. Pulled everything and it feels fine. So reinstalled with loctite. Initial drive and I am vibe free!It it me or does it look like the top bolt is loose? Backed out?
good thing you found that today. that's not something you wanna find the other way.Missing one completely, other three were very loose. Pulled everything and it feels fine. So reinstalled with loctite. Initial drive and I am vibe free!
Must be a red jeep thing lol... I bent the F out of my front driveshaft yesterday, now vibes horribly above 30mph. Good thing I towed my jeep down. Hope everything is wellI am sure everyone has seen the Moab photos, but I am dealing with rapid failures within my driveshaft. Replaced a centering ball twice in one week, replaced ujoints as well. Loud rotational knock when under load thru 1st and 2nd. Knowledgeable folks say my pinion angle is off and I am inclined to agree. My control arm joints are completely shot too which I think is a contributing factor. So in the next few days I plan to take a look at that. My water pump also failed. I overhauled the cooling system in October of 2016. All parts were bought from wermopar. No indication of Chrysler on the water pump that failed shy of 5 years. I am now using a NAPA brand pump.
Since you have your driveshaft removed, have you checked your pinion for any play other than rotational backlash?I am sure everyone has seen the Moab photos, but I am dealing with rapid failures within my driveshaft. I still haven't pulled it, but will check for that once I do.Since you have your driveshaft removed, have you checked your pinion for any play other than rotational backlash?
What parts are you using when servicing the center ball? I would replace those bolts with these https://www.northerndrivetrain.com/product/SPI-230914.html which can also be fount in kit 2-70-48x. Make sure the pin the needles ride on is smooth, round and exactly .5 inch.I am sure everyone has seen the Moab photos, but I am dealing with rapid failures within my driveshaft. You are 1330 series correct? Might try running the greaseable flange 211179x. I have better luck with them over the non grease ones.Spicer parts. Non greaseable. Pin appears to be fine but can take a caliper to it when removed
He should be a 1310You are 1330 series correct? Might try running the greaseable flange 211179x. I have better luck with them over the non grease ones.
I thought rears are 1310 and fronts are 1330 for the np231?He should be a 1310
