Several days ago, when I finished the water pump replacement, I took it out for a spin, parked it and checked the coolant level in the puke bottle the next day. As I expected, it had fallen about 3 inches. Topped it back up to the "full/cold" line. Drove it on some errands the next day. Parked it - on ground that's more level than my driveway where I had checked/topped off the coolant. Checked the coolant level the next day - looked about an inch low. I wasn't happy, but I wasn't yet alarmed...
Drove it to Belly Dance class last nite - 45 mile round trip. Parked it in the driveway this time for an apples to apples comparison. Went out today, checked it, and the level was back where it had been last time it was parked in the driveway. I'm not sure why the level shows slightly higher when the ass end of the Jeep is slightly lower, but there it is. Either way, it makes me happy as it doesn't appear to be losing coolant.
